Roma have completed the signing of English striker Tammy Abraham from Chelsea. He made his debut with the number 9 shirt in place of Edin Dzeko.
Roma’s website confirms Abraham has signed a long-term contract until June 30, 2026. The transfer fee paid to Chelsea is 40 million euros, plus an undisclosed number of bonuses. But Sky Italia previously stated it was €5 million.
“You can feel it when the club really shows its need for you and Roma showed it to me without hesitation,” the 23-year-old said in his first interview on the club’s website.
“This is a club that deserves to fight for the championship. I’ve had the experience of winning major titles before. And I intend to do so again. I want to help the team achieve this goal and bring Roma to the level they deserve to be.”
